MONO NO AWARE is an annual film event open to any person or group of personsmaking work that incorporates Super8mm or 16mm film format as part ofthat presentation. In previous years 16 film was blended with danceperformance, Super8 with live spoken word/audience involvement, &multi-projections with live jazz/musical devices. Dancers, Sculptors,Musicians, Theorists, Scientists, Athletes, Visual artists, everyone,AND Film-makers are encouraged to submit. This is not a film festivalfor film-makers, so much as it is an film event for everyone. Entrieswill only be accepted on Super8 or 16mm film. FILM ONLY. No DigitalVideo. We believe there is magic in seeing a film print projected, apresence a poet has when reading their own work, a feeling thatresonates in your chest when seeing music performed live. Bushwick SITE Festival is a two day interdisciplinary event,highlighting the diversity of performance in Bushwick. Bushwick’s firstmulti-location performance festival, SITE centers around three hub spaces: ChezBushwick, the Bushwick Starr, and Lumenhouse; performances will alsotake places in alternate locations including galleries, homes, studios,streets, and gardens. Encompassing theatre, dance, music, and otherforms of performance art, SITE seeks to expand the interaction betweenspectators and spectacle, as both artists and visitors move through aplethora of spaces, events, media, and styles.
