Bushwick Open Studios June 4-6 Lumenhouse is a proud supporter of Arts in Bushwick, a volunteer organization dedicated to promote & support local artists.

Mono No Aware Sunday November 29th, 2009 5pm MONO NO AWARE is an annual film event open to any person or group of persons making work that incorporates Super8mm or 16mm film format as part of that presentation.  In previous years 16 film was blended with dance performance, Super8 with live spoken word/audience involvement, & multi-projections with live jazz/musical devices.  Dancers, Sculptors, Musicians, Theorists, Scientists, Athletes, Visual artists, everyone, AND Film-makers are encouraged to submit.  This is not a film festiva lfor film-makers, so much as it is an film event for everyone.  Entrieswill only be accepted on Super8 or 16mm film. FILM ONLY. No DigitalVideo. We believe there is magic in seeing a film print projected, a presence a poet has when reading their own work, a feeling that resonates in your chest when seeing music performed live.  For these reasons we encourage live film with live additional audio/visualelements. Lumenhouse is proud to present the third annual Bushwick Film Festival.  Lovisa Inserra of Buster, Sean Glass, AldoTambellini, Untucked Films, Shih-ting of Viola,and Joseph Hung of Two Lullabies, were among the various amazingfilmmakers and production companies that have shaped this festival into asuccess and left viewers wanting more.

Arts in Bushwick Bushwick Open Studios June 5th - June 7th BOS is an art festival centered around the open studios of localartists. Also included are a myriad of other platforms for exhibiting andcelebrating the creative energy of Bushwick.

Bushwick SITE Festival is a two day interdisciplinary event,highlighting the diversity of performance in Bushwick.  Bushwick’s firstmulti-location performance festival, SITE centers around three hub spaces: ChezBushwick, the Bushwick Starr, and Lumenhouse; performances will alsotake places in alternate locations including galleries, homes, studios,streets, and gardens. Encompassing theatre, dance, music, and otherforms of performance art, SITE seeks to expand the interaction betweenspectators and spectacle, as both artists and visitors move through aplethora of spaces, events, media, and styles
