Lumenhouse is an emerging arts organization based out of a refurbished factory in the burgeoning creative scene of Bushwick, Brooklyn. Visual artist Aurora Robson and cinematographer Marshall Coles have collaborated to create this dynamic venue where the creative processes of artists at work can be viewed simultaneously with ever-changing exhibitions.
Since Lumenhouse’s inception, we have been focusing on providing an affordable, professional space for the creation and development of fine arts via art studios, workshops, film screenings, exhibitions, photography, art documentation services, performance space, community forums and other cultural events. We have also been hosting a variety of community arts events including FluxConcert, The Brooklyn International Film Festival, The Bushwick Film Festival, Bushwick Open Studios Annual Benefits, SITE Performance Festival, LouderArts Poetry Slam, Community Forums, Artist Talks, and various art exhibitions.
We are currently working on transforming Lumenhouse into the first solar-powered multi-media, multi-use art space. Using solar power will help us achieve financial sustainability while raising environmental consciousness and exploring the potential of energy from the sun.

From Lower East Side:
Take the J or M train from Essex Street station heading to Metropolitan Avenue. Get off at Flushing Ave. Exit near intersection of Broadway and Flushing Ave. Start out going east on Flushing Ave. then turn right onto Beaver Street.

From Downtown Manhattan (Williamsburg Bridge):
Head east on Delancy toward the Williamsburg Bridge (right outside lanes). Cross the bridge. Slight right toward Broadway (signs for Bway W/Staten Is/I-278). Turn Left at Broadway. Turn Left at Flushing Avenue. Turn right at Beaver Street.
From Midtown Manhattan: (Midtown Tunnel)
Head southeast on W 34th St. toward Ave. of the Americas. Turn left at Tunnel Approach St. Slight right to merge onto I-495 E (partial toll road). Take exit 17 W-E to merge onto I-278 W. Take exit 34 for Meeker Ave. toward Morgan Ave. Slight left at Meeker Ave. Turn left at Kingsland Ave. Turn right at Maspeth Ave. Turn left at Bushwick Ave. Turn right at Flushing Ave. Turn left at Beaver St.
From BQE (Eastbound) (Flushing Ave exit):
Head north on Classon Ave. toward Wallabout St. Turn right at Wallabout St. Turn right at Lee Ave. Turn left at Flushing Ave. Turn right at Beaver St.
From BQE (Westbound) (Meeker Ave exit):
Take Exit 34 for Meeker Ave. toward Morgan Avenue. Slight left at Meeker Ave. Turn Left at Kingsland Avenue. Turn right at Maspeth Avenue. Turn left at Bushwick Avenu. Turn right at Flushing Avenue. Turn left at Beaver Street.
